NHUE · Alhambra ticket office
NHUE's three-hour walk covers the Generalife, the Alcazaba and the Nasrid Palaces with a guide, in groups of about 20 with headsets. Pick it because the palace slot comes with the booking, which is the part most people fail to get on the official site.

This is the Alhambra tour most people book on Viator, with 3,394 reviews at 4.7. The ticket is the full one: the price includes admission to the Nasrid Palaces, the Alcazaba and the Generalife, and the guide walks you through all three in about three hours. You choose the language when you book (Spanish, English, French, German, Italian or Portuguese) and the whole tour runs in that one language, with headsets so you hear the guide in the crowded rooms.
What you pay for is the slot. The official General ticket costs EUR 22.27 online on the official prices page, but the Nasrid Palaces take 300 people per half hour and peak dates sell out weeks ahead. NHUE holds group tickets, which is why it still has places when the official ticket shop shows nothing. From $67, you pay about three times the ticket price for that and the guide.
Two honest caveats. The sale is final: no refund and no changes, for any reason. And the tickets are group tickets tied to the guide, so you can't wander off and come back to the palaces later (NHUE spells this out on its premium version). After the August 2026 earthquakes the Alcazaba reopened on 23 September on an adapted route, and some towers may stay off the walk.
The meeting point is the steel wall map at the main entrance, next to the ticket office at the top of the hill. Look for NHUE staff with a white umbrella. Walk up from Plaza Nueva in about 30 minutes, or take the C30 or C32 minibus from Plaza Isabel la Católica.
Every name on the booking is checked against a passport or ID card. Your guide hands out headsets and tunes them to the group channel.
The summer palace, the Patio de la Acequia and the cypress walks. The order of the visit depends on your Nasrid Palaces slot, so this part can come last.
The oldest part of the hill, with the view from the Torre de la Vela, on the adapted route since September 2026. The Renaissance palace of Charles V is free and sits on the way.
The Mexuar, the Court of the Myrtles, the Hall of the Ambassadors and the Court of the Lions, entered at the half-hour slot on your group ticket. The tour ends inside the monument.
