NHUE · Alhambra ticket office
The same full route as NHUE's flagship, the Nasrid Palaces, the Alcazaba and the Generalife, in groups of about 10 instead of 20. Pick it for the smaller group: you hear the guide, you can ask questions, and nobody waits for 19 others at the doors.

NHUE runs this alongside its small-group flagship, and the route is the same: the Nasrid Palaces, the Alcazaba and the Generalife with a guide, in about three hours. The difference is the head count. Groups stay at about 10, and guests have reported 7 or 8. From $78, it costs about $11 more than the 20-person version.
The tickets are special group tickets assigned to your guide's accreditation. The listing is blunt about it: leave the group or get lost and you can't enter the gardens, the Alcazaba or the Nasrid Palaces on your own. The ticket also covers the Palace of Charles V and the Mosque Baths.
The rest is fine print. The Alhambra needs every traveller's full name, date of birth and passport details when you book. NHUE can move the start time: one guest booked 9 a.m. and was moved to 11:30 a week before. The sale is final, and the tour runs in Spanish, English, French, Italian or Portuguese.
Be at the steel wall map by the box office at the main entrance 15 minutes early. The guide carries a white umbrella with the NHUE logo. Walk up, or take the C30 or C32 bus, a taxi or the tourist train.
Names are checked against IDs. Headsets are handed out; the listing suggests bringing your own as well.
The summer palace, the Patio de la Acequia and the gardens. The order follows the palace slot.
The fortress and the view from the Torre de la Vela, on the adapted route since the Alcazaba reopened on 23 September 2026.
The Court of the Myrtles, the Hall of the Ambassadors and the Court of the Lions at your group's slot.
★★★★★This was an exceptional experience, in a small group (we chose the 10-person max, and there were 7 of us) with a very knowledgeable tour guide.
★★★★★This tour was fantastic. It felt complete yet concise. [...] I felt sorry for the folks who were viewing the palace and grounds solo. They missed all the informaiton that made "The Red" come alive before our very eyes.
★★★★★Remember to bring your passport or drivers license as ID or they won’t let you in.
★★★★★Do it! It’s fantastic. Our guide was amazing, lots of information. Walked slowly for the 3 hour tour so it felt very manageable.
